Kiss x Kiss collection drama CD vol 1, 5 and 6
After a few years of forgetting about the existence of ドラマCD, my interest was revived again when I found my 羊でおやすみ:おやすみなさいませお嬢様 CD. This sheep counting CD... amazing. Anyway, that will be a separate post. While looking for more of the series, I came across hiruyasumi community @ LJ! and thanks to their kind members, I got to know about another amazing, albeit a bit strange, series, the Kiss x Kiss collection.
The 声優 each take on a character, and talks as though they are talking to you, their girlfriend, in different scenarios. Of course, the main aim is... all about kissing! You just have to self insert and let your fantasies run wild, as guided by the character! So cute. Whether you have a boyfriend or not, it is interesting to give it a try. Because your boyfriend sometimes cannot be like this!! 気を回せないでね 偶に妄想を咲き出してもいいんじゃないですか。

This is my rambling that I typed as I listened, or rather detailed summaries I'd like to share. Unedited, so please forgive the grammar.

KISSxKISS Collection Volume 5: Joukan Kiss
(Superior's kiss)
Release date: March 14, 2009
Character name: Ikegami Ren
Seiyuu: Ookawa Tooru
[Tell me everything about your kiss. My orders are absolute.]
The “you” in this is a subordinate officer under Ikegami Ren, with a bit of a rebellious streak, always ready to oppose him, except when he, well, ravages you with kisses. Unfair XD The different tracks consist of different scenarios within the military setting that lead up to kisses. The way Ookawa portrays Ren is quite my type hoho. Being quite a high ranking officer (someone who decides the salaries/bonuses of the other officers, should be a pretty high authority!), he’s used to talking in a commanding manner to “you” but always in a soft, sometimes playful, always gentle tone. The one time he sounds stiff and cold is when he’s jealous, and jealous over petty things like “you” having gotten a new roommate and he didn't know about it >_< But then, in the middle of scolding “you”, he suddenly freaks out because you held a dog in his face (I think) … uh, he’s bad with dogs (lets not say he’s scared of dogs to retain his dignity) so he yells for it to be taken away. That breaks the tension and his jealousy streak (That must be the new roommate he was told about lol). As you are about to stomp off in a huff because you think this confrontation is dumb and unnecessary, he catches you, pulls you back to him and makes up with you. =))

Moving on, the other tracks are super sweet too >____< I love his gentleness, and the sense of security he has with him. He makes you feel really special, as though those times you spend together alone out of sight of your colleagues, are the times when he shows a whole different side of him, rather than that figure of authority.
Then it crashes you down to reality. “You” find out he is to be sent to the front lines. A bitter parting kiss. And then, a recording plays, in which he says if “you” are listening to this that means he’s no longer here… this storyline for a military love is cliché to me, but when I’m listening to it in first person perspective…. I feel it’s very touching, and really feel that sadness too. Then suddenly, a click (door opening) and ‘Tadaima!!” Jolted me awake. He’s back! War has ended! Happy ending. ^___^

He starts by calling you over formally to sit in the seat across him, and dismissing the rest of the officers. Talks about some official matter (not important to me), then says come here. Move, closer. One more step. *kiss*~ He laughs apologetically as you push him away. Your serious face was too cute that he couldn't help kissing you. He orders you to stop, and refuses to let you leave, it's useless to try running away. You huff that he does this to just about anyone. He laughs, saying you were this worried about that? Though he won't deny he likes women, besides the one lady he's decided on, that is, you, he doesn't care about any other. You don't believe him? *kiss*kiss*~ He asks, with that do you believe him now? He reassures that you should just relax and let him kiss you... his orders are absolute.

He tells you wait, don't open your eyes yet. Until he tells you you can, just be patient and hold on there. You complain you've already waited long enough. That may be so, but wait - he reminds you again not to open your eyes yet, if you don't listen to his order ... *kisskiss* he'll keep kissing you until you're sick of it. That way one doesn't need punishment, you retort, and he laughingly agrees, for you and for him for you and for him at least. After a little more reminding, he finally tells you to open your eyes and wishes you a Happy Birthday. He tells you that while your eyes were closed, he'd brought this over. You ask if you can open it, and he says of course. He then gently chastises you, for suddenly crying like that... He asks for your right hand, to put this on and comments that it fits perfectly on your ring finger. As for the left hand, that'll be for the real thing. He whispers that for your birthday tonight, he's not letting you go back... his orders are absolute.

My thoughts:
One thing I don’t like is he’s always emphasizing that he’s a soldier, this is his duty, blablabla, implying one should understand his position as though he is talking to someone not in the military force. The “you” in there is also a soldier and furthermore directly under him, I’m sure you would understand him better than anyone else = = Imagine if Roy Mustang said this to Riza Hawkeye (like all the time). It feels a little demeaning. His favourite words “My commands are absolute” do not sit well with me too, but because they are said at the right place at the right time with the right atmosphere, I shall not mind. ^o^

[If you like my kiss, come and hold me. Prepare yourself] (eh?!?! it's more innocent than it sounds!! .... maybe.)
T_T Pervert. The “you” here is definitely much younger than him, and seems to be the sweet, pure and innocent type (lol) who is getting corrupted by the teasing antics of this older man. :P Starts with him noticing you've been staring hard at him (jiiii...), so he says he'll move closer to you since "you" want to look that much. Then he says ah... "you" want him to kiss you right? XD And then apparently you look dissatisfied, because he says what? Kiss on the cheek is not enough? Alright this time, the lips...be prepared. *kiss* ... Then he comments don't turn red with that, you'll make him want to kiss you more...
He gives “you” a wake up call, since today is your date together. (butler style!) He does notice all the little details, like you've specially dressed up for the date, the color, what dress... Of course “you” do tend to be a little bratty and childish and short tempered too, hitting him and huffing off when his teasing gets too much. And of course he comes after “you”, catches “you” easily in his arms and smothers “you” with kisses. Lots of mushiness commence.... This track 4 is so.... *____*
He helps "you" wear your shoes too, compliments and teases “you” all the way like the date starts here so “you” should start kissing him too… and “you” tease him as well…
As you both walk past the park, he reminisces over how he stole your first kiss without a proper love confession and made you angry (lol), and suggests to replay that kiss, or rather, to do that first kiss properly again this time ... somewhere along there you comment that he seems to remember that day well. He answers of course, he remembers every single detail of that day...
He just keeps teasing!!! @&#(*@$^ It starts raining and he is holding the umbrella, he tells “you” to come closer to him because it’s cold isn’t it. Inevitably, he starts kissing “you” again in public; although “you” are embarrassed, he says it’s okay, the umbrella will hide you both, and anyway, he doesn’t mind being seen because he’s kissing the cute “you” (lol). Apparently you try to run away mid kiss, but he holds you tight, continues kissing, and says he really can’t get enough of you. XD
You both find refuge at a dessert parlor... I guess? Do dessert parlors serve beers? Basically you’re both chilling, “you” are eating a parfait, and he’s finding excuses to kiss you, like there’s something on your face, don’t move… *lick**kiss*. It’s chocolate, he comments it is sweet, and also saying things like even after meal times you always eat dessert (just some info about yourself, in case you forget. Lol). Then suddenly, he says don’t move again… *lick**kiss* … *lick**kiss*. “You” comment he’s licking the same place! And he’s all… oops… he’s been found out… he just can’t get enough of you with the chocolate on your face… and kiss kiss kiss~~
You’re out of the place and you probably questioned him what’s up with all that kissing, because he answers sulkily that there’s one guy there who was definitely staring at you, and sighs a little frustratedly that you’re so cute that people can’t stop eyeing you. He continues kissing “you”, and “you” probably ask what he’s doing, because he answers I’m showing that you’re mine! Kiss kiss kiss… oh and here too…. Kiss kiss kiss…. and he comments this should do it for now… “you” laugh… he pouts and says what’s so funny? He can’t help it, because he doesn’t want to hand you to anyone else, and that’s why you also should be prepared.
(Why is this review so long???) After the movie, he comments on the lousy hero who dies after saving the heroine… and notices you’re still crying. Crybaby, he says, come close, and hugs and kisses you… “You” ask what if he were that guy? He answers, if it were him, he’d save “you”, but he wouldn’t die. Both of you would definitely have a happy ending. Kiss kiss kiss…. La la la… he whispers, this is definitely not enough…
Then, *kiss*. He says that’s a I'm back (ただいま) kiss, although that's odd since both of you came back together. Well it doesn’t matter, since you’re home now, you can both kiss as much as you want… “you” comment that it’s not exciting (can’t think of an exact word right now, but --!! “You”!! Naughty!), and he says what? No way, it’s only going to get more exciting from here on, as he’s going full power, so you better be prepared. (lol) Kiss kiss kiss... then he pauses, because "you" ask why there's no more smell of tobacco around him. That's because last time, when you both kissed, you used to wrinkle your nose at it... but even so, his kisses sent you into a daze didn’t they? Kiss kiss kiss... you complain his stubble tickles, he laughs and says you're cute... kiss kiss kiss.... He yawns, and says time to get ready for bed.
Well, once in bed… “you” being “you”… asks for more kisses because you can't sleep :P What with all the stubble, it tickles/hurts references, you'd think this guy would just get the hint and shave, but no, he laughs it off and kiss kiss kiss. His ending words were sweet though… tomorrow, and no matter how many years to come, I’ll always be here, greeting you in the morning… you better be prepared.

….. OK. Judging by how long this is, I guess I fell for Fujiwara’s char. XD After the initial goose bumps I got from the first track, he seems very natural and just sweeps you along with the flow. A man who's attentive to every little detail, treats you like a princess, the one and only, and is quick to apologise and make up to you? Yes! Although he does sound a bit of the dangerous, possessive type, one can’t help liking the feeling of being spoilt nyaa!

Butler~ ~ *o* This is a different way of being spoilt, I don’t think I’d mind it either *O* I just. . . can’t really enjoy it because the “you” here seems to a slightly watered down version of Alois Trancy and Butler kun a more willing Sebastian =( Sigh. I am not a fan of Alois Trancy's personality. But it should still appeal to a lot of butler fantasies. But I'm lazy to listen to it again ^o^
